Llíber is a town of the Valencian Community, Spain. Located in the northeast of the province of Alicante, inside the region of Marina Alta and in the Jalon Valley. With approximately 1000 inhabitants.
Its economy is dry land agriculturist: Being the main culture the grape, of that they are extracted bot grape and a very good moscatel, along with the almond. In the little irrigable lands there are orange trees.
In the place Pozo de Gata, located to the north of the
municipal district, have been found remains of an Iberian town.
The iberos used to built their settlements in high places in order to secure a
better defense against their enemies. For this same reason, they walled also
theri settlements
